Inspiring Success Stories of Nurses in the U. S.

Starting a new life in a different country can be really hard. But even in the middle of all the challenges there are stories of people who didn’t give up. Today, we’re going to hear about some nurses who moved to the United States with the help of ADEX. Each of their stories shows how they worked hard and made their dreams come true in a place full of opportunities. Let’s dive in and get inspired by their amazing journeys!

Marichu Gan started at Brotman Medical Center with help from ADEX Medical Staffing. Now, she’s a Nursing Professor at Los Angeles Valley College with a fancy doctorate. She and her husband, both nurses, have three kids and a cozy home in the Valley. They feel really lucky that ADEX gave them this chance for a good life in the US. Marichu also helped other nurses find opportunities with ADEX.

Virginia Aguilar has been working at Brotman Medical Center since 2006. She lives in a nice home in Inglewood with her husband and son. Her son, who’s only 11, is super talented in music!

Daisy Santos worked at Brotman Medical Center and is now semi-retired. She and her husband are adopting a 6-year-old girl from the Philippines.

Eppie Toretino had to retire because of a surgery that went wrong. But her kids are doing great! Her daughter is training to be a nurse, and her son is a mechanical engineer.

Cherry Moreno worked at Centinela Hospital Medical Center, then moved to Kaiser Cadillac in Labor & Delivery. Now, she’s been at Kaiser for 16 years. Her oldest son works in IT for Skydance Studios, and her younger son is a programmer for a Japanese game company. Cherry and her husband bought a house in Culver City.
