Marichu joined the ADEX team and came to the U.S to work in a Californian hospital within the Acute Rehab unit where she later obtained her certification as a Rehab RN. She moved on to another reputable hospital in CA where not only did she participate in the Nurse Practice Council but also was a preceptor for RN students and newly hired nurses. Later in her career, she was offered an adjunct faculty position. The process was challenging but she soared through and succeeded. She not only fulfilled her dream as an RN in the U.S but went further by becoming a Professor, helping others fulfill their dream as well. Marichu is not only a pillar in the Nursing field but also takes the time to promote awareness of STEM opportunities to Latino & low-income students.
